Description: This photograph marks the opening of the series Timeshifting Prague, launched in June 2026. During a recent review of her photographic archive, Avalatara found herself staring at scenes she recognized only now, decades later, through the Bitcoin lens. At first glance, Timeshifting Prague is a series of classic black-and-white photographs, showing scenes from Prague between 1997 and 2005. However, upon closer inspection, small “glitches in the matrix” present themselves in each of the photographs, revealing that Prague’s destiny as the European capital of Bitcoin was written long before Satoshi Nakamoto’s whitepaper. Each photograph of Timeshifting Prague is based on authentic photographs taken on panchromatic black-and-white negative film (35mm format) in the years 1997–2005 and hand-developed by the artist.

Grant of License

The Artist grants to the Licensee an exclusive, irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide, non-transferable license to use the Image in digital form for both personal collection and commercial purposes, including but not limited to digital display, brand communication, website use, social media, and digital marketing materials.

Territory: Worldwide
Term: Lifetime (perpetual, commencing on the invoice date)
Exclusivity: Exclusive — during the term of this License, the Artist will not grant any third party an equivalent digital usage license for the Image

This License does not constitute a transfer of copyright or any other intellectual property rights. All rights not expressly granted herein are reserved by the Artist.

Artist’s Reserved Rights

The Artist retains all right, title and interest in and to the Image, including all worldwide copyright and moral rights. The Artist expressly reserves:

The right to exhibit the Image in any physical or digital context (exhibitions, festivals, publications, the Artist’s own channels, etc.)
The right to create, sell or exhibit physical prints or other tangible manifestations of the Image
The right to use the Image for her own promotion and documentation (portfolio, website, talks, catalogues, social media, etc.)

Any waiver or transfer of these reserved rights requires a separate written agreement and an additional fee.

Credit

Restrictions

No resale or transfer: Licensee may not sell, assign, transfer or sublicense this License or any rights granted herein to any third party without the Artist’s prior written consent.
No misleading context: The Image shall not be used in any deceptive or otherwise unlawful context.
Sensitive uses: Use in explicitly political, religious or otherwise controversial contexts requires the Artist’s prior written approval.
No claim of authorship: Licensee may not claim authorship of the Image or imply it was created by anyone other than the Artist.
Responsibility: Licensee assumes sole responsibility for all uses of the Image and agrees to indemnify and hold the Artist harmless from any claims arising from such use.

Condition Precedent

This License is granted only upon receipt of full payment of the agreed license fee.
